The Lexus SC was a GT car produced from 1991 to 2010, available as a coupe or a convertible. The first generation of the Lexus SC was designed in the US and lasted nine years as a coupe. The second generation was designed in Europe and Japan and was born as a convertible with a retractable aluminium hardtop roof which would retract in 25 seconds. In 2010, a special edition limited to 200 was produced for the Japanese market, named the SC430 Eternal Jewel edition. A successor the the SC, called the Lexus LC, was launched in 2016.
